With a PhD in Contemporary History from Barcelona University, Sergi is the Director General of the Airport Regions Conference, representing cities and regions with airports. He served as Vice Mayor of El Prat (1991–2018) and a member of the Metropolitan Government of Barcelona (1995–2018). As Chairperson of Fundació Nous Horitzons, he contributed to international projects and has actively participated in numerous EU-funded initiatives, showcasing his commitment to regional development and international collaboration.
