Ivar Bal, an engineer at Deerns, specializes in airport apron design, aligning technical and operational needs. He plays a key role in electrifying ground infrastructure. His apron designs are not merely layout, they are strategic frameworks that accommodate aircraft fleet mixes, ground service equipment (GSE) and future operational flexibility. Integrating AutoCAD and AviPLAN in the design approach, he ensures safety, efficiency and sustainability in every design. Outside work, Bal enjoys board games like SkyTeam.
