Emanuel has been responsible for environment and sustainability at Zurich Airport from 1990 to 2025 and is now vice president for sustainability in special domains like environment and climate management, and local air quality. He provides support to the international initiatives of Zurich Airport, other airports and aviation organizations including ACI Europe and ACI World. Personal fact: Having retired from the voluntary fire service, he enjoys skiing in wintertime and traveling globally all year round.
