Emanuel has been responsible for Environment and Sustainability at Zurich Airport from 1990 to 2025 and acts now as Vice President Sustainability in special domains like environment and climate management, local air quality and provides support to international initiatives of Zurich Airport, other airports and aviation organizations like ACI Europe and ACI World. After already retiring from voluntary fire service, he still enjoys skiing in wintertime and travelling globally all year round.
