Dan Pippenger
chief aviation officer,
Port of Portland
As chief aviation officer, Dan oversees PDX and two general aviation airports. He joined the port in 2006 and has held multiple roles, including COO. A retired Coast Guard commander with 20 years of service, Dan holds a BSc in marine engineering from the US Coast Guard Academy and dual master’s in naval architecture and ocean engineering from MIT.
Dan also manages his dog’s Instagram site with ample guidance from his three daughters.
