Lord Sharpe was a minister at the UK Home Office during the last government. He is now shadow business minister in the House of Lords. Prior to joining the Lords, he was a senior equity markets professional for 30 years. He lived and worked in Hong Kong, Tokyo, New York and London and started his professional life as an inspector in the Royal Hong Kong Police. Lord Sharpe now sits on a number of SME boards.
