Alan Grossert is the director of engineering projects at the Vancouver Airport Authority, the community-based organization that manages the Vancouver International Airport (YVR). Grossert’s responsibilities include overseeing the design and construction of expansions, renovations and renewal of YVR’s airport terminal buildings and baggage handling systems. An industrial engineer by training, Grossert places great emphasis on how projects are delivered within the complex airport environment, creating climate-friendly, operationally efficient and cost-effective facilities and infrastructure.
