Barrier-free and inclusive travel
San Antonio International Airport is committed to becoming a barrier-free airport through an inclusive, forward-thinking terminal design. In partnership with the terminal design team, the airport formed a focus group of over 35 organizations representing the disability community. These partners were engaged early in the process to provide input on reducing physical, attitudinal, informational, systemic and technological barriers while enhancing customer service. Their feedback is shaping new airport-wide design standards that prioritize accessibility and dignity for all passengers. San Antonio is setting a new benchmark in inclusive airport design, and encourages airports worldwide to adopt similar collaborative approaches.
