Airport cities, regions and connections
Airports develop mixed-use commercial property on airport premises, often called Airport Cities, that have the potential to deliver significant commercial, social and environmental benefits to airports and the communities they serve. Yet findings on the factors driving the success of airport cities remain fragmented and inconclusive, thus hampering validity. The academic group of the Airport City Developer Forum has investigated relevant KPIs to measure the success of airport cities and allow forum members to test their airport cities against those criteria. This panel discussion with airport city operators from Vienna, Munich and Brussels airports will shed light on the status quo.
