Day 2 - Aviation security and facilitation
How can law enforcement agencies and security work together to reduce the impact from disruptive behavior, terrorism and criminal activity at our airports? Organized crime affects societies, economies, people and communities. In the meantime, many oppose airport expansion. Cybercrime leaves no one free from attack. Drone technology has grown and hybrid attacks have emerged and will continue to do so. Society seems to be less patient, possibly a by-product of technology in our everyday lives, fueling anxiety, and antisocial behavior when things do not unfold as desired. The situation is exacerbated by tabloid wannabes who film anti-social behavior to boost their online following rather than intervening.
- Learning through shared experiences – how airport communities can work together
- Why they should take a proactive role in reducing the impact of crime and disruptive behavior
- The benefits to the airport, its passengers, the staff and the wider community
