This presentation highlights the competition proposal for the second phase of Tianfu International Airport in Chengdu, featuring a state-of-the-art terminal designed to accommodate 60 million passengers annually, with over 100 contact gates. As China rapidly expands its aviation infrastructure, this project raises pivotal questions about the feasibility of such growth and terminal capacity limits. It will compare the Tianfu proposal with Guangzhou's Baiyun International Airport Terminal 3, recently operational, and the Guangzhou New Airport in Foshan, currently under construction.
