An innovative Horizon Europe ID project to improve security through a portfolio of linked high TRL solutions, currently at 2/3 of its 3-year activity. Einstein aims at delivering 6 applications essential to fight identity frauds across the entire ID management domain: • Online ID issuance with real-time biometric quality checks and fraud detection, • Mobile document and identity checks using smartphones, • Advanced document authentication module, • Pre-registration for biometric land-border crossing, • EES kiosk with advanced fraud detection, • Automatic multi-biometric walk-trough corridor. High TRL products are being qualified through iterative field tests by the Consortium's border forces representatives.

• Pre-agreed use cases KPIs converged through iterative test processes to high operational product TRLs, as rated by border forces during field tests
• Ensuring high TRLs for product solutions ultimately means delivering a better service to the travellers while also meeting border forces requirements
• The entire portfolio of Einstein's apps. did benefit from the iterative performance field border forces evaluation, ultimately leading to high TRLs
• Privacy-by-design of all solutions with national and European legislation (including AI Act) on data protection is key to ensure field acceptance
• Future evolution of such European innovation projects must also comply with future breakthroughs of AI technologies for legal and societal boundaries
