Aviation security and facilitation – an outlook from Pakistan

18 Mar 2026
Aviation security and facilitation
Pakistan has reevaluated its strategies to address aviation security challenges, focusing on proactive measures and operational efficiency. A central part of this reassessment is the enhancement of human resources through new training modules, including threat and behavior detection, emotional intelligence, AI and crisis management simulations. The National Academy for Aviation Security updated its syllabus, extended training duration and introduced new course disciplines and standard operating procedures (SOPs). It also has plans to integrate advanced technologies like AI and machine learning for real-time data analysis and threat identification. Collaboration with law enforcement agencies has been bolstered to align with standards.
  • Global aviation sector is booming with challenges and opportunities
  • Technological advances are key but come with challenges
  • A holistic and collaborative approach is essential for security
  • A robust legal framework is the foundation of aviation security
  • Diversity in global aviation security presents a major challenge
