Day 2 - Environment and sustainability
We must consider the airport not as an isolated entity but instead as a vital piece for the well-being of a region or a country. Airports must at the same time ensure that their customers can benefit from a net zero door-to-door experience. We are holistically engaging with stakeholders across the board both inside and outside airports’ physical boundaries to deepen our understanding about how to embrace the future, for possible synergies on energy systems and consumption, from landside charging to airside hydrogen refueling. Incentives advocating for multimodality and sustainable energy use are also paramount.
- Derisking investments by finding multiple use cases for new energy solutions
- Using multimodal transportation for a more socially and environmentally sustainable door-to-door travel experience
- Leveraging airports’ insights to push forward with new policy ideas toward a more sustainable transportation system
- Understanding the consequences of future aircraft for energy use
- Involving new stakeholders to solve current and future challenges related to sustainability
