Decarbonizing aviation is at the core of Manchester Airports Group (MAG) strategy, both as one of MAG’s seven strategic priorities and as one of five sustainability strategy focus areas. With PA Consulting, MAG explored how airports can contribute to accelerating SAF scale-up. Through a detailed assessment of the UK SAF landscape, PA and MAG identified a range of strategic opportunities where airports can address existing market challenges. This work has shaped MAG’s evolving approach to SAF, highlighting the unique influence airports can have on bridging gaps across stakeholders and driving industry-wide progress toward net zero aviation.
