HALO X-ray Technologies Ltd designs and manufactures X-ray diffraction screening systems for aviation security and customs and border protection. The product portfolio includes the HXT264 inline alarm resolver that integrates seamlessly with state-of-the-art CT systems to form complete checkpoint automatic tray return systems. Examples of this full CT/XRD checkpoint lane have been installed at Boston Logan, Copenhagen, and Amsterdam Schiphol airports for extended data collection of stream of commerce passenger baggage. This unique CT/XRD dataset is being used to optimise HALO threat detection algorithms and significantly reduce checkpoint false alarms to improve both airport efficiency and passenger experience.
The HALO product portfolio is currently being expanded to bring integrated CT/XRD solutions to both checked baggage operations and for confirmatory alarm resolution. These new systems will soon be available to further improve aviation security to meet the demands of regulatory changes and new and emerging explosive threats.
