Vertiport Management System
What is the remote Vertiport Management System (VMS)?
The Vertiport Management System (VMS) is a system which integrates disparate vertiport systems into a single platform providing real-time, remote boarding, control and monitoring of a vertiport, which is a piece of infrastructure that is used to support eVTOLs (electric vertical takeoff and landing) and is usually located near transport infrastructure.
The VMS is typically used to manage a variety of different operations at a vertiport, including interfacing with the scheduling and routing of flights, the coordination of air traffic, the allocation of parking and charging spots for eVTOL aircraft, and the management of passenger operation such as CCTV, Fire Management, PA/VA, Lighting etc.
The VMS is an important part of the infrastructure that is needed to support the emerging use of eVTOL aircraft in today’s world. It provides a single interface for operators to manage the complex operations of a vertiport, and helps to ensure safe and efficient operation across multiple vertiports managed from a remote location.
