Smiths Detection to showcase integrated screening solutions at Passenger Terminal Expo 2026
Smiths Detection will present its integrated screening solutions at Passenger Terminal Expo 2026. Visitors to stand B259 can discover how the company helps airports operate smarter, scale faster and stay ahead of evolving threats while enabling a seamless passenger experience.
A key highlight will be the HI-SCAN 6040 CTiX, the company’s flagship checkpoint CT system, which is EU Standard C3 approved and trusted at scale with more than 2,000 units deployed worldwide. The system allows passengers to keep liquids in containers of up to two litres inside their bags, helping increase throughput and reduce re-screening without compromising security.
At the stand, visitors can also learn more about AI-powered threat detection, remote baggage screening and connected checkpoint capabilities, alongside training offers including the Virtual Training Centre and Image Interpretation Training.
When asked about PTE World, Smiths Detection President Jerome de Chassey said “PTE brings together the global airport community at a time when aviation is being reshaped by rising expectations, operational complexity and faster cycles of innovation. It provides an important platform to exchange perspectives on where the sector is heading and how airports can build a future that is safer, smarter and better connected.”
