Shabstec will showcase the latest iteration of its TagForLife electronic bag tag at the expo. The tag has been designed to considerably improve the customer experience. Compatible with all existing ATR-based baggage systems and providing a >99% read rate, the tag also boasts Bluetooth Low Energy and ultra-wideband technologies to track bags to within 30cm. This allows passengers to check in remotely and then simply drop luggage at bag drops without the need for further interaction at the airport (excess weight still needs to be paid for). The tag enables remote courier pickup and delivery with full tracking capabilities.
