With the onyScan Pro, onysID introduces a passport scanner built for operational realities
Maintenance downtime and serviceability are becoming critical challenges in passenger processing technology. What if the next leap in document scanning wasn’t another spec upgrade, but finally fixing everything around it?
With the onyScan Pro, onysID introduces a passport scanner built for operational realities. High-speed API data capture and different light sources for document authentication form the baseline. The real innovation lies in long-term operability.
A patent-pending, tool-free glass replacement concept enables on-site servicing and significantly reduces downtime. Bluetooth and LAN connectivity prepare the device for future ID wallets and cloud-based environments.
Sustainability is engineered in from the start. The glue-free construction enables component recycling, and refurbishment options, while smart power management reduces energy consumption when idle.
“Our goal is not simply to meet today’s requirements,” says Alex Zahn, CEO of onysID. “We solve real operational pain points.”
“We know the baseline,” says CMO Jennifer Müller. “Now let´s talk about what´s next.”
When asked about PTE World 2026, Jennifer Müller said "PTE World remains the place to be, the quality of both attendees and exhibitors makes it one of the most valuable industry gatherings worldwide. It’s the perfect stage for us to introduce innovations like the new onyScan Pro and get immediate feedback from the people who will actually use the technology for years to come."
