Houston Airport System Modernizes Workforce Management with Klayo
Committed to operational excellence, HAS places a strong emphasis on employee engagement, transparent communication, and career development. To enhance workforce management and boost employee satisfaction, HAS’s top management identified two key areas for improvement: training management and employee satisfaction and engagement.
HAS was facing the following challenges: 

  1. Fragmented Training Management: Employee training was tracked across disconnected platforms, making it difficult for managers to monitor completion and compliance.
  2. Lack of Job Role Clarity: Standard job classifications specified by the City of Houston didn’t accurately reflect the specific duties and qualifications required for airport operations.
  3. Limited Visibility of Internal Talent: Managers do not have visibility of existing employee skills and qualifications across HAS. 

To address these challenges and innovate their workforce management, HAS implemented Klayo, a leading cloud workforce management platform for airports. The solution has been rolled out to 1,354 employees, with over 60% already actively using the platform and on track to reach 100% by the end of 2024.

  • Ability to personalize job titles, descriptions, and classifications to suit HAS’s specific needs.
  • Option to add relevant competencies to each role.
