CPK signs contract with Vanderlande for BHS at Poland’s new central airport
The project involves creating modern parking infrastructure that is efficient, safe and user-friendly for both drivers and passengers. The scope of work includes, among other elements, detailed facility management planning and the integration of automated system technologies. The design is intended to meet the needs of all users parking at the new airport. The multi-storey car park, which will complement the airport’s ground-level parking system, will provide 5,300 spaces for both short- and long-term use. Key features will include:
a short-term parking zone,
dedicated spaces for contracted clients,
a VIP zone on level +1,
charging points for electric vehicles,
spaces for people with disabilities,
a passenger pick-up area,
a car-rental area,
traffic and access-management systems.
Seven bidders took part in the tender. The selected contractor is the design studio AKE Studio and ATP Kraków. CPK has signed a contract worth more than PLN 10 million gross, of which almost PLN 5.5 million gross is allocated to the core scope of work. This includes preparing plans for several design variants and producing conceptual, construction and technical designs.
The multi-level car park will be integrated with the airport infrastructure, enhancing overall efficiency and the quality of passenger service, while ensuring a high level of operational safety.
This is another project being delivered as part of the investment programme supporting the airport’s operations. Design work is also under way for the airport services maintenance bases, meteorological services buildings, the environmental hazard monitoring unit, the Data Processing Centre and the Airport Police Station.
